The Watch

Union Glashütte is based in Germany - and more specifically, as its name suggests, in the town of Glashütte, considered the cradle of German watchmaking. It is a manufacture with noble roots, offering timepieces of exceptional quality at highly competitive prices compared to other brands in the same city. Union Glashütte is proud to present its latest creation: the Belisar Chronograph D009.427.16.092.00. Crafted in a round case made of 316L stainless steel, with a diameter of 44mm and a thickness of 15mm, this is a model deliberately aimed at a male clientele. A robust sapphire crystal, highly scratch-resistant and treated with anti-reflective coating on both sides, is fitted. Its domed shape reinforces the vintage appeal. At 2 o'clock, the pusher starts and pauses the chronograph. Its counterpart at 4 o'clock resets the complication. At 3 o'clock, the crown lets you set the time and wind the movement. It features a knurled finish for an excellent grip. Turning the watch over, the caseback is secured by 8 screws and is transparent - offering a captivating view of the movement inside this jewelry timepiece.

The Dial

The German brand delivers a stunning visual experience. Feast your eyes on a magnificent sunray dark green dial that plays beautifully with light, casting breathtaking reflections. Along the outermost edge of the dial sits a pulsometer scale, allowing you to measure a heart rate. Just inside, a minute track ensures ultra-precise, effortless timereading. The indices are rendered as white Arabic numerals with a striking retro design. The sub-dial dedicated to the small seconds is located at 9 o'clock. In black, it contrasts with its two counterparts - a reminder that this small seconds hand tracks the passage of time, independent of the chronograph. A nice detail: it features a concentric finishing. The white sub-dial at 3 o'clock measures intervals up to 30 minutes, while the one at 6 o'clock covers up to 12 hours. This means you can time a duration of up to 12 consecutive hours, down to the second! As an eye-catching touch, the hands on these sub-dials are red. The hour and minute hands are baton-style and feature a luminescent treatment. A central seconds hand with a red tip is on hand for precise chronograph timing. The date is cleverly tucked into the hours sub-dial at 6 o'clock. The manufacture signs this piece at 12 o'clock and proudly engraves "Made in Germany" at 6 o'clock.

The Movement

This timepiece is powered by an automatic UNG-27.S1 caliber with a chronograph complication. It delivers an impressive 60-hour power reserve thanks to its new silicon balance wheel! Despite this generous autonomy, the frequency hasn't been compromised and remains at 28,800 vibrations per hour. As a result, the seconds hand beats 8 times per second, producing an exceptionally fluid sweep. For precise time setting, the caliber features a stop-seconds function. Finally, the movement can be manually wound via the crown.

The Bracelet

A beautiful green nubuck leather strap accompanies this timepiece, perfectly echoing the dial's color for a flawless wedding of materials. It features striking white contrast stitching at the lugs. For added convenience, the strap is fitted with a deployment clasp in polished stainless steel!

Water Resistance

With water resistance of 100 meters - or 10 ATM in watchmaking terms - this boldly styled timepiece is equally at home at a black-tie gala and in the water. Wear it in the shower, the bath, or even for a vigorous swim. That said, our team of watch experts wants you to know: this model is not designed for scuba diving (freediving or with tanks), nor for use near high-pressure cleaning equipment.
