The Watch

Union Glashütte has been carrying the torch of German watchmaking tradition for over 125 years! Always committed to delivering precise, reliable timepieces worthy of the Glashütte name, the German manufacture is proud to introduce its latest creation: the Belisar Chronograph D009.427.16.052.00. This watch embodies motorsport in all its glory, presented in a round 316L stainless steel case with a diameter of 44mm and a thickness of 15mm - dimensions that make it a natural fit for men. For lasting resistance and durability, a domed sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective coating has been fitted. The bezel is crafted in finely polished stainless steel. As a true chronograph, the watch features a pusher at 2 o'clock to start and pause the function, and another at 4 o'clock to reset it. The crown sits at 3 o'clock. Onion-shaped, it features a knurled finish for a particularly comfortable grip. Finally, the caseback is firmly held by 8 screws and fitted with a display glass revealing the watch's inner mechanics.

The Dial

The dial delivers a beautifully balanced interplay of black and white. A first nod to motorsport: a tachymeter scale runs the full circumference of the dial. The graduation is rendered in red on an off-white background for a striking effect. Inside it, a minute track in white on black ensures the most precise time reading possible. The hour indices are Arabic numerals in white. The small seconds hand is housed in the sub-dial at 9 o'clock in black. The chronograph sub-dials are positioned at 3 o'clock for 30 minutes and 6 o'clock for 12 hours. Unlike the seconds sub-dial, these are cream-colored with a red hand. All three sub-dials feature a concentric finishing with a beautifully textured look. The hour and minute hands are baton-style in stainless steel with a coat of luminescent material. The chronograph seconds hand sports a delicate touch of red at its tip. The manufacture authenticates its work at 12 o'clock and has discreetly - but proudly - engraved "Made in Germany" at the bottom.

The Movement

True to Union Glashütte's tradition of fine watchmaking, this timepiece is fitted with an automatic Swiss-made UNG-27.01 caliber with a chronograph complication, allowing you to measure elapsed time with precision. It also delivers an impressive 60-hour power reserve - made possible in part by its silicon balance wheel. Running at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, the seconds hand sweeps with remarkable fluidity. The movement also features a stop-seconds system and can be manually wound.

The Bracelet

This timepiece is paired with an elegant brown nubuck leather strap, fitted with a deployment clasp in polished stainless steel. Beyond its stylish look, it is a highly practical and secure system for the watch.

Water Resistance

This model offers water resistance of 10 atmospheres, or 100 meters - a genuinely water-resistant timepiece! This spirited watch is ready to dive into aquatic adventures right alongside you. From puddles to the pool, it handles water without complaint. Showers, baths, and energetic swims? No problem. That said, our Ocarat watch experts want to be clear: despite its water resistance, this model is not suited for diving (professional or recreational) and is sensitive to high-pressure cleaning equipment. We also recommend keeping the crown and pushers untouched while submerged.
