Paying tribute to German aviation, watchmaker Bauhaus presents a collection of timepieces inspired by the artistic movement that swept across Germany. The Automatic Power Reserve 2160-1 features a round case in polished stainless steel measuring 41 mm in diameter. A mineral glass crystal sits above, effectively protecting the dial from everyday shocks and scratches. A knurled crown at 3 o'clock lets you adjust all dial settings with ease. The case back of this jewelry timepiece is screwed and transparent, providing 5 ATM water resistance while offering a captivating view of the movement in action.
The round dial on this watch showcases a bright white background, easy to read at a glance thanks to its hour indexes rendered as slim black applied markers alongside Arabic numerals. A discreet dotted minute track runs along the outer edge. At the center, three hands display the hours, minutes, and seconds - all in black, except for the minute hand, which makes a bold statement in red. A date window on a black background at 3 o'clock keeps you perfectly on schedule. Between 8 and 11 o'clock, a power reserve indicator shows how much running time remains. The brand's signature sits below the 12 o'clock index, with the watch's specifications displayed on the lower portion of the dial.
This watch is brought to life by a Japanese automatic movement - specifically the Miyota 9134 caliber, featuring 26 jewels and a frequency of 28,800 vph, delivering a 40-hour power reserve. This high-quality caliber drives every element of the dial with precision and fluidity.
True to its pilot-inspired aesthetic, the brand pairs this watch with a smooth brown leather strap. Vintage in spirit and embossed with the brand's name, it fastens simply and securely with a silver-tone pin buckle.
With 50 meters of water resistance - or 5 ATM in watchmaking terms - this timepiece can handle splashes without issue, but isn't built for prolonged water contact. An occasional shower won't hurt, but to keep the movement accurate and in top condition, our watch specialists strongly advise keeping it away from baths, pools, and the sea. No swimming or diving, and no extended immersion.
