The Watch

French watchmaking house Matwatches proudly presents its Aviation UTC collection. Originally designing pieces for the RAID special forces unit, the brand has since expanded its lineup for military use. These timepieces deliver exceptional quality and technical mastery - perfect for men who live for extreme sports. The AG8 3 AD was co-designed with pilot Jerry "Leekster" Leeky. It features a 316L stainless steel case measuring 44 mm in diameter and 15 mm thick - a bold presence on any wrist. Only 150 pieces will ever be made, so don't wait. A rotating notched bezel frames the dial, which is protected by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal - scratch-resistant and built to take daily hits. A screw-down crown at 3 o'clock lets you adjust the hands with ease. Finally, the solid 316L steel case back ensures water resistance up to 20 ATM (200 meters).

The Dial

At the heart of this watch sits a stunning round, black dial. Two white hands indicate the hours and minutes, complemented by a slender seconds hand in the same color. Hour markers are rendered as Arabic numerals at 2, 4, 8, and 10 o'clock, alongside indices and a railroad minute track. For optimal legibility in low light or at night, both the indices and hands are coated with SuperLuminova BGW9 luminescent material. A 24-hour time zone display runs along the outer dial, tracked by a distinctive orange hand. A date window at 6 o'clock shows the current date. The brand signature sits at 12 o'clock.

The Movement

This timepiece is powered by a Swiss automatic movement manufactured by ETA, caliber 2893-2, featuring 21 jewels. With an oscillation frequency of 28,800 beats per hour, it delivers a 42-hour power reserve. This movement drives analog display of hours, minutes, seconds, and a date window with precision.

The Strap

This timepiece comes with 3 stunning interchangeable straps. The first is crafted in genuine black rubber for a laid-back, sporty vibe. The second is in beige canvas to elevate your everyday look. The third is made from genuine vegetable-tanned tan leather for a more refined aesthetic. All three straps fasten with a pin buckle, adjustable to fit any wrist size for a perfect, secure fit.

Water Resistance

This model offers water resistance up to 20 atmospheres - that's 200 meters deep. A true companion for your underwater adventures, it's built for freediving. No need to worry about pressure washers either - wear it on your wrist and get to work. Showering, bathing, lap swimming, and freediving are all fair game. That said, if you're planning scuba diving with tanks, we recommend a timepiece with a higher water resistance rating. Also, avoid operating the crown or pushers while submerged to protect the movement's integrity.
