Founded in 2005, French watchmaker Matwatches got its start producing watches for elite RAID police unit officers - a heritage that quickly earned the brand recognition across various military units. Today, Matwatches invites you to discover the AG5 CHL 1AB from the Aviation Chrono collection. This chronograph could have equipped the pioneers of aviation, and it's sure to captivate enthusiasts of both vintage and contemporary flight. The case is grey brushed 316L stainless steel, with a boldly masculine profile: 44 mm in diameter and 16.5 mm thick. It features a black unidirectional rotating bezel. Protecting the watch from shocks and scratches is an anti-reflective sapphire crystal. A crown at nine o'clock - flanked by two pushers - lets you adjust the hands and functions in a single motion, ergonomically positioned for active use. The model is completed by a screwed caseback ensuring water resistance to 20 ATM, making it suitable for swimming and scuba diving.

The Dial

This model features a round, matte black dial - a bold, elegant statement on the wrist. At its center, two hands and a seconds hand display hours, minutes, and seconds with precision. The dial perimeter features a white minute track, complemented by baton hour markers for improved legibility and visual comfort. Both hands and markers are treated with Super-LumiNova for optimal readability underwater or in the dark. The dial also features two subdials at six and twelve o'clock, indicating the 30-minute and 12-hour chronograph functions respectively. The Movement

This watch houses a Swiss automatic movement, the ETA Valjoux 7750. This 25-jewel caliber beats at 28,800 vph with a power reserve of 42 hours. It delivers precise, reliable analog display - keeping hands and subdials running with accuracy.

The Strap

This timepiece comes with 3 interchangeable straps, letting you switch up your style whenever you like. The first is a black vegetable-tanned leather strap. The second is a sand canvas strap for a more modern look. Finally, the third is crafted from genuine rubber in black - delivering optimal comfort. All 3 straps fasten with a pin buckle.

Water Resistance

This model offers water resistance to 20 atmospheres (200 meters). A timepiece ready to follow you into the deep! Built for freediving, it handles high-pressure water jets without breaking a sweat - showers, baths, lap swimming, and breath-hold diving are all fair game.
