The Watch

Alpina is a Swiss brand that quickly became the go-to choice for alpine climbers, air force pilots, and even divers. From the Alpiner 4 Automatic collection, this AL-525N4AQ6 watch features a silver-tone case with a polished and brushed finish. Round in shape, it measures 40 mm in diameter and 12.50 mm thick. It is topped by a highly resistant convex sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating that protects the dial from everyday shocks and scratches. It is framed by a rotating bezel featuring minute graduations. At 3 o'clock, a screw-down crown allows you to set the hours, minutes, and date. The screw-down case back ensures water resistance of 10 ATM.

The Dial

Featuring a blue dial, this round dial has a sunray finish that gives this watch a radiant glow. At its center, two alpha hands indicate the hours and minutes. The seconds are tracked by a slim gray seconds hand. All three sweep over arrow-tipped indexes and a minute track. Like the indexes, they are coated with a Super-Luminova treatment for excellent readability even in low-light conditions. The black-background date window at 6 o'clock displays the date. Finally, the brand's signature appears below the double 12 o'clock index.

The Movement

Alpina has equipped this model with a Swiss manufacture automatic movement - specifically the AL-525 caliber based on SW200, fitted with 26 jewels. It is anti-magnetic and delivers a 38-hour power reserve. With an oscillation frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz), it provides precise reading of the hours, minutes, seconds, and date.

The Strap

This strap features strands measuring 80 x 120 mm in length and has a lug width of 20 mm. It is crafted in calfskin leather with a dark brown color. The white stitching running along its edges gives it a modern, sophisticated look. The strap fastens with a silver-tone pin buckle 18 mm wide.

Water Resistance

With water resistance of 10 atmospheres, or 100 meters, this timepiece is built for the water. Whether you're splashing through puddles or diving into a pool, this watch is happy to join you. Showering, bathing, and active swimming? No problem. That said, our watchmaking experts want to be clear: this model is not designed for scuba or freediving, and should never be used near high-pressure cleaning equipment.
