The Watch

Victorinox presents its new watch paying tribute to the pioneers of aviation. The Airboss Mechanical 241974 sports a bold yet refined design. It features a 42-millimeter stainless steel monoblock case with an 11-millimeter thickness. A bidirectional rotating tachymeter bezel frames the dial. The dial itself is protected by a sturdy sapphire crystal, shielding it from shocks and scratches. Thanks to its triple anti-reflective coating, legibility is optimal in any light. At three o'clock, a winding crown allows you to set the watch with ease. Finally, the screwed caseback ensures a water resistance of 10 atmospheres.

The Dial

The house opted for a round black dial for optimal readability. At its center, two hands and a slim red seconds hand sweep through the hours, minutes, and seconds. They are complemented by Arabic numeral indexes and a subtle minute track. Note that the hands and indexes feature a Superluminova coating. Around the dial, a tachymeter scale mirrors the one on the bezel - this sporty function also ensures precise timekeeping thanks to its graduation. Finally, the house signs its creation at 12 o'clock and displays the collection name and movement type at 6 o'clock.

The Movement

This timepiece is powered by a Sellita SW200 automatic movement. Remarkably precise, it offers hours, minutes, seconds, and date functions. It drives all 3 hands and the date window, with a power reserve of 38 hours.

The jewelry

The watch is fitted with a stunning stainless steel bracelet. In black, it features a brushed finish. Composed of multiple rows of links, it ensures optimal comfort and can be fastened with a deployment clasp. Note that the lug width measures 22 millimeters.

Water Resistance

With 100-meter water resistance - 10 ATM in watchmaking terms - this bold-looking timepiece handles both black-tie events and a splash in the water with equal ease. Feel free to wear it in the shower, the bath, or while swimming (even during an intense workout). That said, our team of experts wants to be clear: this model is not designed for scuba diving, freediving, or high-pressure water jets. Rule of thumb: shower, bath, and swimming only - and never operate the pushers or crown while submerged.
