The Watch

Swiss house Victorinox pays tribute to aviation pioneers with its Airboss Mechanical 241888 watch. Combining sporty design with elegant presence, this timepiece features a monoblock stainless steel case. Built for men, it measures 42 mm in diameter and 11 mm thick. The case is fitted with a bidirectional rotating tachymeter bezel that goes beyond measuring speed - it also offers multiple readings including liters, kilograms, gal, fuel lbs, and oil lbs. A sturdy sapphire crystal with triple anti-reflective coating protects the dial from shocks and scratches, delivering optimal legibility. A silver-tone crown engraved with the brand logo sits at 3 o'clock for setting the time, date, and winding this automatic-movement timepiece. This aviator watch is equally suited to the boardroom and the sports field - wear it dressed up or dressed down with ease. The transparent screw-down case back is a true showpiece, revealing the intricate movement within - the rotor itself is engraved with the brand logo. This watch is water resistant to 10 ATM.

The Dial

The round black dial offers perfect legibility thanks to its large Arabic numeral indices in white. Around the dial's perimeter, a tachymeter scale mirrors the one on the bezel. This sporty feature also ensures precise timekeeping thanks to its graduation. White dauphine hands sweep the hours and minutes, while a slender red seconds hand marks the seconds. A date window sits at 6 o'clock. The hands and indices feature a Superluminova coating for perfect legibility in low-light conditions. To accentuate the vintage aviator spirit of this timepiece, the sapphire crystal is engraved with military time in red. Finally, Victorinox signs its creation at 12 o'clock, with the collection name and movement type indicated at 6 o'clock.

The Movement

Visible through the transparent case back, a Sellita SW200 automatic movement powers this timepiece. Remarkably precise, it displays hours, minutes, seconds, and date. It drives all 3 hands and the date window, with a 38-hour power reserve.

The Strap

This timepiece is fitted with an elegant silver-tone stainless steel bracelet. Jubilee-style, it features a brushed finish. Robust and timeless, it comes with a butterfly deployment clasp and a 22 mm lug width.

Water Resistance

With water resistance of 100 meters - or 10 ATM in proper watchmaking terms - this sharp-looking timepiece is equally at home at a gala and in the water! Feel free to wear your wrist companion in the shower, the bath, or while swimming (even vigorous laps).
