925/1000 Silver 2-Sided Scapular Virgin of Mount Carmel Medal, Diameter 15 mm to 22 mm

This round sandblasted 925/1000 silver medal features the Sacred Heart of Jesus on the front and the Virgin of the Scapular on the back.

It was to Saint Simon Stock, Superior General of the Carmelite Order, that the Virgin Mary gave the Scapular of Our Lady of Mount Carmel during an apparition in 1251, along with this promise: "Whoever dies wearing this habit shall be preserved from the eternal flames".

Wearing a Scapular is a commitment to regular prayer and a special devotion to the Virgin Mary. A priest blesses and presents it to the wearer. The Church has approved this devotion on numerous occasions. Pope John Paul II and many other popes wore the Brown Scapular of Mount Carmel.

As this medal is double-sided, engraving a message on the back is not possible.
