857 UTC Flieger Steel Watch

Series 857: pilot's watches with magnetic field protection.

The Watch
Topped by a flat sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective coating, the round case is crafted in stainless steel. It measures 43 mm in diameter, 12 mm thick, and weighs 90 grams without the strap. The black dial features luminescent white hands, Arabic numerals, and indices, along with a date window at 4 o'clock. It also includes a 4^th hand displaying a second time zone in 24h format. The case back is screwed and nickel-free. The crown at 3 o'clock is also screwed.

The case is fitted with a black bidirectional rotating bezel that provides a visual countdown function. To prevent accidental rotation, the bezel is secured to the case so it cannot be lost.

This watch is water-resistant to 20 ATM, or 200 meters - perfectly suited for swimming and scuba diving.

Specific Technical Features
The case, bezel, and entire bracelet have undergone TEGIMENT anti-impact treatment. This surface-hardening technology provides highly effective protection for stainless steel against scratches.

This watch also features Sinn's patented Ar dehumidification technology. This system slows the aging of the watch's internal components, extending the movement's service life. It also prevents condensation from forming on the crystal during sudden temperature changes.

It also offers protection against magnetic fields up to 80,000 A/m, thanks to a soft magnetic material dial and double case back. This structure prevents the watch from being disrupted or stopped when exposed to magnetic fields generated by electric motors or loudspeakers, for example.

The Movement
This watch houses a Swiss ETA 2893-2 automatic self-winding movement. This 21-jewel caliber displays hours, minutes, seconds, and date via a window - plus a second time zone in 24h format. It features a stop-seconds mechanism for precise time-setting to the second. The movement runs at 28,800 A/h with a 42-hour power reserve.
