How to Choose the Right Watch Strap?

Step 1: How to Measure the Width of Your Watch Strap?
- Please note: Your old strap may have shrunk due to heat or moisture. Do not measure your old strap - instead, measure the lug width of the watch as shown in the illustration. In this example, the strap is 22 mm wide.
- Tip: The strap width is often printed on the back of your strap.
Step 2: How to Choose the Right Length for Your Watch Strap?
- If your current strap is already the right length:
Lay the watch flat as shown in the diagram
Measure the section between the buckle and the case (section A), excluding the buckle.
Measure the section between the case and the tip of the strap (section B)
Length A + Length B = Strap length
- If you need a strap in a different length:
Measure your wrist using a tape measure or a piece of string
Find your strap size using the size chart below:

Step 3: How to Choose the Right Buckle for Your Watch Strap?
- Please note: To find the correct buckle width for your strap, you need to measure the strap at the buckle end - not at the lug end as shown in the diagram below (some straps are tapered and the buckle end is narrower than the lug end).

Here are the three classic buckle types for watch straps: the tang buckle, the single deployment clasp, and the double deployment (butterfly) clasp.
